FSC and PEFC accreditation is another step in our environmental journey that involves not only the training and development of the team at Northend but also an awareness programme for our customers.

Go Green with FSC and PEFC

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international non-profit organisation founded in 1993 to support the world's forests.

The PEFC Council (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation, founded in 1999 which promotes sustainably managed forests through independent third party certification.

The FSC Chain of Custody

FSC Chain of Custody is the process by which the source of a timber product is verified.

Certification involves inspection and auditing of the land from which the timber and pulpwood originate and tracking it through all the steps of the production process, including printing, until it reaches the end user.

The PEFC Chain of Custody

The PEFC provides an assurance mechanism to purchasers of wood and paper products that they are promoting the sustainable management of forests.

The Logo
