Environment
Northend, as one of the regions leading print companies, recognises and accepts its responsibility to identify and as far a practicable, reduce the adverse impact on the environment resulting from its activities, products and service.
Northend will ensure that the operation complies with all applicable environmental legislation and other requirements to which it subscribes which relate to its environmental aspects.
As a manufacturer of products, Northend will, as far as possible, seek to deal with suppliers of raw materials and services who have adopted third party audited Environmental Management Systems such as ISO 14001.
In addition, we are committed to:
- achieving the ISO 14001 environment management system standard by March 2009 (the financial year-end)
- achieving the FSC and PEFC chain of custody accreditation by September 2008 – we did it!
- setting and reviewing appropriate objectives and targets to implement these policies.
- take all practical measures to prevent pollution
- continually assess and improve our environmental performance
- communicate this policy to all persons working for or on behalf of the company
- make this policy available to all other stakeholders
This policy will be reviewed and updated on an annual basis.
