Northend, as one of the regions leading print companies, recognises and accepts its responsibility to identify and as far a practicable, reduce the adverse impact on the environment resulting from its activities, products and service.
Northend will ensure that the operation complies with all applicable environmental legislation and other requirements to which it subscribes which relate to its environmental aspects.
As a manufacturer of products, Northend will, as far as possible, seek to deal with suppliers of raw materials and services who have adopted third party audited Environmental Management Systems such as ISO 14001.
In addition, we are committed to :
- Maintaining the ISO 14001 environment management system accreditation, achieved in August 2009
- Maintaining the FSC and PEFC chain of custody accreditation achieved in September 2008
- Setting and reviewing appropriate objectives and targets to implement these policies.
- Taking all practical measures to prevent pollution
- Continually assessing and improving our environmental performance
- Communicating this policy to all persons working for or on behalf of the company
- Making this policy available to all other stakeholders
